About Educationally Related Residential Placement & Monitoring
Sometimes a student may need more support than a school setting alone can provide. Educationally related residential placements combine mental health treatment with academic instruction in a structured environment.
These placements are designed for students with the most intensive needs. The goal is to provide the support and care needed to help students improve their well-being and continue their education.
DMCC works closely with schools, families, and treatment facilities to support students throughout this process.
What is a Residential Facility?
A residential facility is a live-in treatment center that supports students who need more care and supervision than a school district can provide.
These facilities offer therapy, behavioral support, and education based on each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Students receive structured support throughout the day to help them build skills, improve behavior, and continue their learning.
